A sweet and simple treat that lets kids get creative with their decorating.

Ingredients:

  • Large marshmallows
  • Lollipop sticks or pretzel rods
  • Green candy melts or white chocolate melts with green food coloring
  • Mini chocolate chips
  • Sprinkles or other small candies for decoration

Instructions:

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Have your kids help you push a lollipop stick or pretzel rod into the bottom of each marshmallow.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the green candy melts (or white chocolate with green food coloring) according to the package directions.
  4. With a parent’s help, dip each marshmallow into the melted candy, covering it completely. Let the excess drip off.
  5. Lay the dipped marshmallows on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Before the candy sets, let your kids press on mini chocolate chips for the “hair” and “bolts” and add two more for the “eyes.” A sprinkle of sprinkles can be fun, too!
  7. Allow them to set completely, about 15-20 minutes in the refrigerator.

Kid’s Corner:

  • Sticking: Pushing the sticks into the marshmallows is a simple task they can do.
  • Dipping: With a parent’s help, they can dip the marshmallows into the melted chocolate.
  • Decorating: This is where their creativity shines! Let them place the “hair,” “eyes,” and “bolts” on their Frankenstein creations.
