This is a classic Halloween dinner that’s as delicious as it is easy to make.
Ingredients:
- 1 package of crescent roll dough
- 1 package of hot dogs
- Ketchup and/or mustard
- Optional: candy eyeballs
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven according to the crescent roll dough package directions.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and use a pizza cutter or a knife (with adult supervision) to cut it into thin strips.
- Have your kids carefully wrap a hot dog with the dough strips, leaving a small gap for the “face.” It doesn’t have to be perfect—the messier the wrapping, the more like a mummy it will look!
- Place the wrapped hot dogs on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown.
- Once they’ve cooled a bit, use a dab of ketchup or mustard to create the “eyes” in the gap you left. You can also use candy eyeballs for an even more fun effect.
Kid’s Corner:
- Wrapping: Let them have fun wrapping the hot dogs with the dough strips.
- Placing: They can place the mummies on the baking sheet.
- Decorating: Use ketchup, mustard, or candy eyeballs to make the mummy faces.
